Natural Skin Care: How to Make Your Own Exfoliating Body Polish

Making your own skin care products doesn’t need to be complicated. Many of the health and beauty practices from 1000’s of years ago are still valuable today

Finding fantastic natural skin care products to nourish your skin doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. I’ve been crafting skin care products since I was a child and as my knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine & aromatherapy have grown, I’ve been able to make products that are tailored to the unique health conditions  & environment that each woman faces.

Though I make my own cleansers, creams, washes and scrubs, sometimes I find that the simplest combinations work best. In this video I show you how to take two simple ingredients, olive oil and brown sugar and make a wonderful scrub that you can use on your whole body. I suggest using an organic sugar and the freshest olive oil you can find. What you are looking for is an oil high in polyphenols. Polyphenols are known to act as antioxidants, reducing oxidation and cell damage, which leads to many degenerative diseases. They even reduce microbial activity and infections. Please note, when I say a scrub to use on you whole body, that doesn’t include your face, where the skin tends to be too delicate to benefit from the coarse sugar crystals.

Natural products are good as far as they are actually made with
natural ingredients. Companies are advertising under the banner of Natural
ingredients but most of them are using harmful chemicals in their products
which are making them same as other products which are made with chemical. The solution is to make your own Face Care products.

Adrea, I completely agree. You really have to pay attention to every ingredient in the products you use and consume. It’s so easy to be lulled into a sense of comfort with a few simple buzzwords like organic or natural. Thanks for sharing.
